INDOOR AIR QUALITY TESTING FOR SCHOOLS & HEALTHCARE
proactive : STRATEGIC PLANNING ASSESSMENTS
Moisture Intrusion Assessment
Comprehensive building inspection to identify moisture intrusion issues caused by roof or exterior wall leakage, leaking or condensation on plumbing components, or HVAC condensate blockage.
Baseline Indoor Air Quality Testing (carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, oxygen, ozone, VOCs, & respirable particulates)
Review existing IAQ monitoring data where applicable and/or provide baseline monitoring to identify potential vulnerabilities, source emissions, or personal exposure concerns within the built environment.
Dampness & Mold Assessment
Inspect and evaluate relative humidity and moisture conditions throughout the building to identify other building conditions that may be conducive to mold growth.
Review preventative maintenance (PM) schedules and records
Review existing PM operating procedures, schedules and other applicable maintenance records.
Outdoor Air Intake Assessment (locations, quantities, efficiency, etc.)
Inspection and evaluation of the fresh air ventilation systems to determine the suitability of the intake locations with respect to other exterior building exhaust systems, and assess the capacity (volume) and quality of the intake air with respect to respirable particulates and other IAQ contaminants as it relates to building usage and occupancy.
HVAC Inspection
Visual inspection and assessment of the HVAC components to document conditions and potential IAQ deficiencies in the plenums and duct work, filters and filter housings, air conditioning and heat pump condensate components, etc. Evaluate existing HVAC control systems in terms of capacity, technology and real-time data acquisition capabilities.
Report & Analysis
Provide a report summarizing the results of findings, corrective actions, recommend additional recommendations as applicable, and organizational educational and training opportunities to improve facility maintenance performance.

"I’ve worked with Matt DaRin for over 15 years on a variety of complex insurance claims and he has been an invaluable resource that I’ve regularly called upon throughout my career. Matt’s understanding of the built environment and how different contaminants affect various components is unparalleled. He is meticulous in his approach to each and every assessment and I could not more highly recommend it!"

OUR CLIENTS
CASE STUDY: ANCHORAGE SCHOOL DISTRICT
Anchorage Alaska School District:
Bluepoint conducted comprehensive mold and moisture damage assessment of all 97 school buildings within the Anchorage School District after damages were sustained from a high magnitude earthquake.
Bluepoint was able to complete the testing and provided comprehensive testing and inspection reports for all buildings within 10 days allowing more than 46,000 students to resume classes.
CASE STUDY: NASA
Bluepoint assisted the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in the indoor air quality testing and commissioning of the cleanroom and cryogenic testing facility for the James Webb Space Telescope at the Johnson Space Center, Houston TX. This is an article talking about the facility and how it was used for the JWST.
The project succeeded in providing a high level scientific assurance to NASA engineers that the clean room testing facility was in compliance with the rigorous and strict thresholds needed to move forward with the JWST testing. Fun fact, the JWST was launched into space on December 25, 2021 and is currently traveling at over 700 mph on it’s way to its targeted orbit position roughly 1 million miles away from Earth.
